Today l did some doodling and the result was rather interesting, pen and ink and mindless scribbles!! :)

I Really must try other mediums to broaden my work and leave my comfort zone which seems to be graphite and crayons at the moment.
Pencils are so versatile and controllable at the same time :)

Todays task was a large drawing in Pencil...4b.... and a few Karisma and Derwent softcolour crayons.

Well this evening l designed and made a Teddy made of raw silk and victorian buttons on the leg joints vintage glass eyes and a leather heart, he has a velvet nose and stand about a 18 inches high , l may have to make some more creatures!!!

The simplicity of a few marks made with pastel crayons on black paper, a good thing to try , no room for many mistakes though , hard to disguise.

Ahhh Tiddles the old girl karisma crayons , love these really soft and georgous to use,shame you cant
find them in England anymore!

        In St. Ives , inspiring coast line sweet little coves dramatic weather and colours ,wonderful rocks, now home to make art!!!

This is my first oil portrait , its only 5 inches by 5 inches in size but lm keen to do more now.
Im happy to have come this far but looking forward to developing a more comfortable style in a
in a medium l am unfamiliar with .

 just thinking of doing a large painting again like these , they are painted on a large old hospital screen
they are trampoline with a hoodie on , and l still have one side to finish, the screen has three panels i will show the others when l have done them

 Another crayon and acrylic Doodle....this is really done as a Doodle because i am not thinking about the process i am just doing this whilst thinking about far too many other things!!!

 Today l had a doodle day and used Karisma crayons and gold paint. I really like gold paint at the moment but they vary hugely in quality, have yet to find a really lush one.........

This was a first attempt at using oil paints. Had no idea how the paint would react and look forward to trying it more. I don't know why i have been so slow to experiment with Oils, maybe because with a large family finding somewhere to leave it safely was never an option!

Decided to play with this abit more , bronze petals were lush to paint , l like using metalic
paints , will have to do some more.

This is a large window sized painting which hung in a public place for eleven years and has now returned to me.  Painted on two canvases and l stained the frame to form part of the window aswell.

  This is more Gozo Stone in progress , trying not to go wrong with the lizards feet!!
Would be nice to have warmer weather to do this outside , it is summer afterall!!!

       I have been doing a piece of art therapy for myself, helps so much when you have
something negative in your life that you want to let go of!! Highly recommended.........

This is a piece of Gozo stone ,next to Malta....I bought a knife from the market and carved this for the freinds who let us use their home...
